By accessing and using PortoWeather.com ("the site"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the site.
Nature of Service
PortoWeather.com is an experimental weather information service created for educational and demonstration purposes. The forecasts and weather information provided are generated using machine learning models and automated processes.
The weather forecasts on this site are NOT official forecasts and should NOT be used for:
- Making safety-critical decisions
- Aviation, maritime, or transportation planning
- Emergency preparedness without consulting official sources
- Agricultural or business decisions with significant financial impact
For official weather forecasts and warnings in Portugal, always consult IPMA (Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera).
No Warranty
The site and its content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any forecast
- That the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- That forecasts will match actual weather conditions
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PortoWeather.com, its creators, and contributors shall not be liable for any damages arising from:
- Use or inability to use the service
- Reliance on any forecast or information provided
- Decisions made based on information from this site
- Any errors or inaccuracies in the forecasts
Acceptable Use
You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
- Use automated tools to excessively access the service
- Represent the forecasts as official government or meteorological agency products
- Remove or alter any disclaimers or attributions
Intellectual Property
The site code is open source and available on GitHub. Weather data is sourced from Open-Meteo and is subject to their terms of use.
Third-Party Links
This site contains links to external websites (IPMA, Cloudflare, etc.). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal and the European Union.
